What do you do to get past the “after break up” moment?
Question by Jay: What do you do to get past the “after break up” moment?
I dumped my girlfriend two days ago, I don’t think it was a mistake, but still miss her so much, I feel like taking the phone and call her and get back together
but that won’t be good for me in the long run… how can I keep myself from missing her so much, specially at night when I don’t have work to do and start thinking of all?

Go out with your friends. Remember why you wanted to break up with
her in the first place. I dumped my boyfriend of two years a month ago.
It was very very hard, but it was for the best. Just do things that take
your mind off of her. It’ll get better in time.

Listen to music. It will soothe the soul and it will get your mind off of things. Just listen to the music and forget about your worries. I have been through a lot of break ups and that’s how I have dealt with them all. Good Luck Man
My best advice is to keep yourself busy, remind yourself why you left her , don’t think about the good times you shared focus on the bad times you had that obviously outweighed the good times. Know that this is for the best and time will heal all wounds.
Think about why you two broke up. Clearly you weren’t happy with the way things were going. The reason you want to call her now is because you miss how easy it was to talk to her, how she was always there to hang out with, etc – you’re basically just craving the close-ness of a relationship. This is how rebounds happen. So distract yourself with other things, and you’ll get over it.
